What Is Jesus’ Commandment? | Rise Up Day 80

What is Jesus’ commandment?

 

Jesus makes it very clear in today’s Gospel:

 

“Love one another as I have loved you.”

 

But what does that actually mean?

 

It means:

 

➡️ sacrifice
➡️ self-gift
➡️ surrender
➡️ laying down your life for others

 

Jesus didn’t just talk about love.

 

He showed us love:

 

✝️ on the Cross
🕊️ in the Eucharist
🫶 by washing feet
❤️ by giving everything

 

At every Mass, Jesus teaches us again how to love:

 

“This is my body given up for you.”

 

That is the model of Christian love.

 

Today, ask yourself:

 

How can I love like Jesus?

 

➡️ in my marriage
➡️ in my family
➡️ in my friendships
➡️ in my daily life

 

Love one another as He loved us.
